Whether you’d like to re‑upholster a single chair in a day, develop your skills over several weeks, or work one‑to‑one on a specific project, Upholstery Addicts offers a range of friendly, hands‑on upholstery courses in Guiseley, Leeds. All options are suitable for beginners and improvers, with professional tools provided and expert guidance throughout.

What You Will Learn

Depending on your project, you may learn and practise a range of contemporary and traditional upholstery techniques, including stripping furniture, applying webbing and foam, fitting fabric, simple buttoning, piping, and the safe use of professional hand tools and sewing machines.

What Should I Bring?

You don’t need to bring much to get started — just your project and a bit of enthusiasm.

  • Your furniture project
A simple chair or stool is ideal for beginners. If you’re unsure whether your piece is suitable, you can send a photo in advance for advice.
  • Your top fabric (eventually)
You don’t need this for the first session. We’ll measure your project and discuss fabric choices with you before you buy.
  • Lunch (for full day workshops)
Full-day sessions include a break, so it’s a good idea to bring something to eat. Hot and cold drinks are available.
